The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Sales & Business Development Manager - Americas to drive profitable growth across North, Central, and South America. This role will build and execute the regional sales plan, develop OEM and end-user relationships, expand channel partnerships, and identify market trends that create opportunities or risks for the business.
The ideal candidate combines technical B2B sales experience with a strong record of business development in the electronics manufacturing ecosystem, including printed circuit board assembly (PCBA), electronics manufacturing services (EMS), contract manufacturing (CM), OEMs, converters, and distributors. This person is a strategic, entrepreneurial seller who can understand technical applications, communicate value beyond price, and work effectively across sales, marketing, and technical teams.
What You'll Do
- Represent Polyonics throughout the Americas with integrity and high ethical standards.
- Develop and execute the Americas regional sales plan, budget, pipeline, and growth strategy.
- Identify target accounts and reach decision-makers and technical contacts through prospecting, email outreach, cold calling, referrals, industry events, and professional networking.
- Generate new revenue with OEMs, end users, EMS providers, contract manufacturers, focused converter partners, and distributors.
- Build relationships with engineering, procurement, operations, and product teams to understand specifications, applications, qualification requirements, and customer satisfaction.
- Lead consultative, value-based sales conversations for specialty coated films, engineered materials, and technical product solutions.
- Develop and manage channel partners while balancing growth goals, territories, and channel conflict.
- Identify, evaluate, recruit, and onboard new sales channels as business needs evolve.
- Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting and technical discovery through solution development, negotiation, closing, and account growth.
- Monitor market trends, economics, competitive activity, and customer needs; communicate opportunities and threats to leadership.
- Follow up on marketing-generated leads and provide timely feedback on lead quality and conversion potential.
- Maintain accurate opportunity, pipeline, account, and activity information in the company's CRM system.
- Collaborate with Marketing on campaigns, sales collateral, lead-generation programs, and trade-show participation.
- Contribute regional insight to the company's strategic sales and marketing plans.
- Travel throughout the territory to meet with current and prospective customers, channel partners, and industry contacts.
