This is a robust part time to full time employee position in Dallas and East of Dallas. Working in metropolitan and rural communities, our experienced music therapists draw from diverse training and life experiences, facilitating innovation in treatment protocols to support quality of life for those we serve.
Our MT-BCs are responsible for creating and implementing dynamic individual and group sessions for older adults with MCI/dementia/AD, individuals with IDD, in addition to other populations. In our other markets - Austin, Houston, San Antonio and Wichita Falls, we serve a variety of other populations as well, and will fine-tune a caseload with each MT-BCs passions and preferred populations in mind, at the greatest degree possible. Skills & Responsibilities
- Assessing, developing, implementing music therapy goals and objectives, based on CBMT and AMTA standards.
- Reliability, collaborative and ethical mindset, and emotional maturity essential.
- Skilled in working with diverse populations including individuals and groups with developmental disabilities, older adults, those receiving dementia care, and some youth.
- Knowledge of and adherence to HIPAA compliance, privacy protocols.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively within the Music Therapy Solutions team, within multidisciplinary teams, and in order to engage clients compassionately.
- Strong organizational skills for managing client caseload and documenting progress accurately.
Pay: $38.00 - $41.00 per hour
