Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain network hardware including firewalls, switches, routers, and wireless access points
- Monitor network performance and availability, responding to alerts and resolving issues in a timely manner
- Design and implement VLAN segmentation, routing policies, and network access controls
- Configure and maintain site-to-site VPN tunnels and WAN connectivity across multiple locations
- Support SD-WAN deployments and ongoing infrastructure refresh initiatives
- Manage wireless infrastructure including access point deployment and cloud-based network management platforms
- Assist with datacenter networking and firewall management
- Maintain accurate network documentation, diagrams, and change records
- Provide escalation support to the helpdesk team for complex network-related issues
Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours network support
Travel to locations as needed for onsite network installations, troubleshooting, and infrastructure projects (occasional travel required)
Qualifications
- Experience with enterprise firewall platforms and network security concepts
- Working knowledge of routing and switching fundamentals (BGP, OSPF, VLANs, STP)
- Familiarity with SD-WAN technologies and multi-site network environments
- Experience with VPN configuration and troubleshooting
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to work independently
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams
- All experience levels will be considered — demonstrated ability and a willingness to learn are valued over credentials alone
Preferred but Not Required
- Cisco CCNA or CCNP (or equivalent experience)
- Fortinet NSE certification
- Experience with cloud-managed networking platforms
- Familiarity with datacenter switching and network automation concepts
