Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our professional team. The Housekeeper will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and overall appearance of residential or commercial properties, ensuring a welcoming and hygienic environment for clients and residents. This role requires a strong commitment to sanitation standards, excellent time management skills, and the ability to perform various cleaning tasks efficiently. Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of all designated areas, including dusting, surface cleaning, floor care, and sanitation of bathrooms and kitchens.
- Execute laundry duties such as washing, drying, folding, and organizing clothing and linens.
- Use appropriate cleaning equipment and detergents to ensure surfaces are properly sanitized and maintained.
- Implement cleaning and sanitation procedures in accordance with health regulations to promote a safe environment.
- Handle manual tasks including heavy lifting of furniture or supplies with proper technique to prevent injury.
- Maintain cleanliness of carpets through vacuuming or specialized cleaning methods.
- Manage outdoor work responsibilities such as patio or balcony cleaning when applicable.
- Communicate effectively with clients or residents regarding their specific cleaning needs or preferences.
- Manage time efficiently to complete daily tasks within scheduled periods while maintaining quality standards.
- Support housekeeping management by reporting maintenance issues or supply shortages promptly.
Requirements
- Proven experience in residential or commercial cleaning, custodial work, or hotel housekeeping.
- Knowledge of cleaning surfaces, floor care techniques, and sanitation standards.
- Familiarity with cleaning equipment, detergents, and carpet or upholstery cleaning methods.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and outdoor work activities.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients or residents.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Previous experience in janitorial or custodial roles is preferred.
- Demonstrated reliability with a professional attitude towards maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Basic knowledge of housekeeping management practices is advantageous.
