Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist, Clinical Fellow, or SLP Assistant to join our team. We have 2 part-time opportunities available:
-School-based at Dundee Elementary Academy for 2 days, and up to 3 days for evaluations. This need can be fulfilled by an SLP/SLPA team or a SLP or CF can fulfill both needs.
-Mobile private practice part time role for SLP/CF/SLPA
This role involves working with children to assess, diagnose, and treat speech and language disorders. The ideal candidate will have experience in a school setting and a strong background in pediatrics, providing effective speech therapy to enhance communication skills in young patients.
Open To
- Evaluator Position (SLP or CF) need bilingual-Spanish, may include supervision of SLPA if needed. Up to 3 days per week (up to 22.5 hrs) in north east Polk County.
- Therapy Position (SLP, CF, or SLPA) at Dundee Elementary Academy for 2 days per week (15 hrs).
- Part-Time Position- we are open to finding a Bilingual SLP or CF who can do both evaluations and therapy.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of speech and language abilities in children throughout Polk County for up to 3 days a week.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments and goals.
- Implement evidence-based speech therapy techniques to improve communication skills.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other healthcare professionals to support patient care.
- Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
- Provide early intervention services to children with developmental delays in communication.
- Educate families on strategies to support their child's speech and language development at home.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of Gestalt Language Processing, AAC, and speech-language disorders.
- Experience working in school settings with pediatric populations is highly desirable.
- Ability to conduct thorough assessments and develop effective treatment plans.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Understanding of early intervention strategies for children with speech and language challenges.
