Duties
- Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and diagnostic evaluations for children and youth to identify needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
- Deliver engaging play therapy sessions that utilize child-centered play therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-specific interventions, and evidence-based practices tailored to each child's developmental level.
- Collaborate with families, schools, and community agencies to coordinate care, provide psychoeducation, and support case management efforts.
- Implement crisis intervention strategies and conflict management techniques to ensure safety and stability during sessions or emergencies.
- Collect data related to treatment progress, maintain accurate clinical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations, and ensure timely updates of medical records.
- Engage in ongoing professional development related to behavioral health, cultural diversity counseling, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), developmental disabilities, PTSD care, and other specialized areas.
- Utilize motivational interviewing techniques and client communication skills to foster trust and encourage active participation in therapy.
Skills
- Proven experience working with children, youth therapy, or family counseling in diverse settings such as home or community care environments.
- Strong knowledge of behavioral therapy, mental health assessments, and crisis management protocols.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, clinical ethical guidelines, and documentation standards including HIPAA compliance.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals from various cultural backgrounds while respecting diversity in treatment approaches.
- Skilled in intake procedures, mental health and behavioral care planning, diagnostic evaluation, and evidence-based practices.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is highly desirable.
- Excellent case management abilities along with proficiency in group therapy, conflict resolution, trauma-specific interventions, and gender issues counseling.

Pay: $60.00 - $120.00 per hour
