This role works closely with the Property Manager to support the day-to-day operations of the community, with a strong focus on leasing, resident relations, rent collection, renewals, property appearance, and administrative accuracy.
Our community is currently undergoing a complete transformation, with extensive apartment renovations and exciting property-wide improvements designed to elevate the resident experience and reposition the community for its next chapter. We are looking for someone who is comfortable taking initiative, managing multiple priorities, and stepping in wherever needed to keep operations running smoothly.
This is a great opportunity for someone with multifamily experience who enjoys working with residents, leasing apartments, solving problems, and being directly involved in the success of a community.
Responsibilities
- Support the Property Manager with the daily operations of the community
- Assist with leasing activities, including prospect follow-up, tours, applications, screening, lease preparation, and move-in coordination
- Provide excellent customer service to prospective and current residents by phone, email, and in person
- Follow up consistently with leads and help convert prospects into residents
- Assist with rent collection, delinquency follow-up, payment arrangements, and resident account questions
- Manage renewals, notices, resident documentation, and other lease-related administrative tasks
- Maintain accurate resident, prospect, and property information within OneSite/RealPage/ Knock
- Coordinate resident maintenance requests and communicate with the maintenance team regarding outstanding work orders and resident concerns
- Assist with move-ins, move-outs, unit inspections, and ensuring apartments are ready for new residents
- Help monitor vacant units, upcoming availability, unit readiness, and leasing priorities
- Work with vendors and contractors as needed and communicate property needs to the Property Manager
- Assist with property inspections and help maintain strong curb appeal and community standards
- Support resident retention efforts and professionally address resident concerns or conflicts
- Help promote the community through leasing outreach, resident engagement, online reputation efforts, and other property-level marketing initiatives
- Assist with reports, invoices, deposits, resident files, and other administrative responsibilities
- Follow company policies and all applicable Fair Housing and landlord-tenant laws
- Communicate issues proactively and work closely with the Property Manager and corporate team to resolve problems quickly
- Assist with other property operations as needed in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Qualifications
- Previous multifamily property management, leasing, or residential property management experience preferred
- Experience with OneSite, RealPage and Knock is strongly preferred
- Strong leasing and customer service skills
- Comfortable discussing rent, balances, lease requirements, and other potentially difficult resident matters
- Ability to stay organized and manage multiple deadlines and priorities at once
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Professional, dependable, and comfortable working directly with residents, prospects, vendors, and team members
- Strong attention to detail, particularly when preparing leases, reviewing applications, maintaining resident records, and handling financial information
- Working knowledge of Fair Housing and landlord-tenant requirements
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly
- Self-motivated and willing to take initiative rather than waiting to be directed on every task
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate is someone who can balance customer service with accountability. You should be friendly and approachable while still being comfortable enforcing lease requirements, following up on delinquency, managing deadlines, and having difficult conversations when necessary.
We value team members who communicate, follow through, notice problems before they become bigger problems, and take ownership of their responsibilities.
If you enjoy leasing, working with people, solving problems, and being part of the day-to-day transformation and success of a multifamily community, we would love to hear from you!
