Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain audiovisual equipment including video conferencing systems, audio systems, control systems, and digital signal processing devices.
- Troubleshoot AV system issues efficiently using electrical schematics, schematics reading, and engineering troubleshooting techniques.
- Perform routine maintenance on AV equipment, cabling, and infrastructure to ensure optimal performance.
- Operate and support live event AV production projects, ensuring high-quality audio and visual delivery.
- Read blueprints and electrical schematics to accurately install and troubleshoot low voltage wiring and telecommunication systems.
- Implement audio systems in various environments by applying mechanical knowledge and electrical experience.
- Manage software troubleshooting for control system programming (AV systems) and digital signal processing devices.
- Support the operation of video conferencing systems, ensuring smooth connectivity and functionality during meetings or events.
- Conduct field service visits for system installation, upgrades, repairs, or maintenance at client sites.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their AV needs and deliver tailored solutions with excellent customer service.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working in the AV industry with a strong understanding of AV system installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
- Knowledge of electrical schematic reading, blueprint interpretation, and engineering troubleshooting methods.
- Hands-on experience with control system programming for AV systems and implementing audio/video solutions.
- Familiarity with low voltage wiring, cabling techniques, mechanical knowledge, and electrical experience related to AV infrastructure.
- Proficiency in operating video conferencing systems and managing live event AV production projects.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues quickly using hand tools and software diagnostics.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients.
- Ability to read schematics accurately and interpret electrical diagrams for system installation or repair purposes.
- Experience working in the AV industry or related fields such as telecommunication or electrical engineering is highly desirable.
