Job Summary
3G Security is seeking a vigilant and dedicated Security Officer to safeguard our facilities and ensure the safety of all personnel, visitors, and assets. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining a secure environment through proactive surveillance, access control, incident response, and customer service. Your role is vital in upholding security protocols, managing emergency situations, and providing a reassuring presence on-site. Responsibilities
- Monitor premises using CCTV systems and conduct regular patrols to identify potential security risks or breaches.
- Control access points by verifying identities and performing background checks on visitors, contractors, and employees.
- Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, or incidents by following established emergency response procedures.
- Write detailed incident reports documenting security breaches, accidents, or unusual activities for record-keeping and follow-up.
- Perform manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting when necessary to support security operations or emergency situations.
- Operate security equipment including access control systems, Taser devices, firearms (where authorized), AEDs (Automated External Defibrillators), and other safety tools.
- De-escalate conflicts through conflict management techniques and conflict de-escalation skills to maintain a calm environment.
- Assist law enforcement agencies during investigations or when required by law enforcement protocols.
- Conduct thorough background checks on new employees or vendors as part of compliance with security regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting visitors with directions and addressing their concerns professionally.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in security roles, military service, law enforcement, or related fields is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of physical security practices including patrolling procedures, incident report writing, and emergency response protocols.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage conflicts effectively and provide exceptional customer service.
- Familiarity with security regulations, compliance standards, and legal requirements relevant to security operations.
- Physical fitness to stand, walk long distances, and respond swiftly in high-pressure situations.
