Job Description
We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to help maintain the safety, functionality, and appearance of our properties. As part of our team, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and fixing a wide variety of systems, including plumbing, HVAC, electrical, roofing, and more. You will perform routine maintenance and repair tasks to ensure all systems are in working order and meet health and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Survey buildings and mechanical systems to ensure they meet health and safety standards.
- Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, roofing, and other systems.
- Replace light fixtures, repair holes in walls, and fix broken pipes.
- Rebuild drain assemblies and snake drains as needed.
- Repair and replace appliances, doors, and garage doors.
- Repair and replace sprinkler systems, controllers, and related components.
- Perform flooring replacements and other general maintenance tasks (e.g., painting, carpentry).
- Assist with pest control, including spraying insecticide.
- Travel between multiple job sites during the day (vehicle stipend provided).
- Assist in budget preparation and ensure adherence.
- Ensure all work is completed efficiently and safely.
Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician, handyman, or similar role.
- Strong understanding of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general building systems.
- Experience with tools, appliances, and devices typically used in maintenance.
- Manual dexterity, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
- Good physical condition with the ability to perform manual labor and lift heavy items.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple tasks.
- High school diploma or equivalent (Preferred).
- Certification in HVAC or building maintenance technology (a plus).
- Must have a valid driver's license and reliable vehicle to travel between properties.
- Must have a truck or vehicle capable of transporting a ladder.
Additional Information
- Applicants will need to consent to a background and credit check.
- Must be willing to submit to random drug testing.
- Flexible work hours with on-call duties during weekends and holidays as needed.
- Vehicle and fuel expenses will be reimbursed.
- Work Location: On the road, traveling between multiple properties.
