Job Overview
Join our dedicated team as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) working Friday and Saturday from 2 PM to 10 PM, and Sunday through Monday from 6 AM to 2 PM. Responsibilities
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Support medication administration following proper protocols and documentation procedures
- Monitor vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and respiration to ensure health stability
- Operate manual handling equipment like Hoyer lifts safely to assist with resident transfers
- Engage residents in meaningful activities and behavioral management strategies to promote mental well-being
- Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning and sanitation practices
- Document resident progress, incidents, and care activities accurately in compliance with regulations
- Provide transportation using standard passenger cars for appointments or community outings when required
Experience
- Prior experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or cognitive impairments is highly preferred
- Assisted living or long-term care experience in settings such as nursing homes, retirement homes, or personal care homes is advantageous
- Knowledge of dementia and Alzheimer's care techniques enhances your ability to support residents effectively
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; ongoing training is encouraged to stay current
- Familiarity with safe patient lifting practices, medication administration, and behavior management strategies is essential
- Experience operating vehicles for client transportation and performing home & community care tasks is beneficial
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members ensures quality support

Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour
