We’re looking for a motivated, general warehouse packer, responsible for packaging raw material into boxes, bags and master cartons for distribution. The individual will perform one of the several functions within the packaging department.
Responsibilities:

Required to meet all production and quality standards established by Lawson

Required to record production throughout the day and submit daily production report to management.

Packs a variety of different types of product, i.e. bagger, delta, hand pack, stock, etc.

Reads production orders and follows instructions for each job, as outlined in production order.

Verifies that production order and labels are correct before packaging any job.

Sets label applicator machine for box size to run labels for jobs to be packaged.

Ensures correct calibration of scale for proper piece count in each box/bag, ensuring correct package quantity is packaged. Counts the first few boxes by hand.

Matches boxes or labels with inbound product (on skids) waiting to be put on line for packaging in one of several areas within the department.
Qualifications & Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED, plus one year experience in a warehouse packaging, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Able to comprehend basic work instructions.

Good hand and eye coordination.

Able to set up and operate a variety of types of labeling and packaging equipment.

Basic computer skills.
The hourly rate for this role is $21.36.
