Inventory Control / Safety Manager

Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and safety-focused Inventory Control / Safety Manager to oversee both inventory operations and workplace safety at our warehouse facility. This dual role is responsible for ensuring inventory accuracy and efficient stock management while developing and maintaining a strong culture of safety and regulatory compliance.
Inventory Control Responsibilities
- Maintain inventory accuracy through ongoing monitoring and regular cycle counts
- Conduct and lead full physical inventory counts of the entire warehouse on a quarterly basis
- Utilize Salesforce to report and record inventory discrepancies and communicate issues between sites
- Resolve shipping differences including overages and under-shipments using SAP EWM
- Identify, document, and resolve inventory overages, shortages, and damages in a timely manner
- Manage and direct Inventory Specialist employees in the reworking of product to ensure the warehouse remains damage-free and orderly
- Work directly with the customer to coordinate Destroy/Donate loads for product that is out of specification
- Oversee day-to-day inventory management including receiving, storage, and fulfillment accuracy
- Collaborate with warehouse and operations teams to reduce shrinkage and improve inventory workflows
Safety Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve facility safety policies and procedures in compliance with OSHA standards
- Help maintain AIB (American Institute of Baking) records and all required safety documentation to ensure audit readiness
- Oversee the sanitation department, ensuring warehouse cleanliness standards are upheld as a critical component of workplace safety
- Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify and eliminate hazards
- Investigate workplace accidents, near-misses, and injuries; identify root causes and implement corrective actions
- Lead safety training for all warehouse staff, including new hire orientations and ongoing education
- Coordinate emergency response planning, drills, and evacuation procedures
- Manage the PPE program, including inventory and proper usage training
- Track safety KPIs and report findings to leadership regularly
- Serve as the primary point of contact for OSHA inspections and regulatory agencies
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Experience in inventory control, shipping & receiving, and warehouse operations
- Strong inventory accuracy and physical inventory skills
- Knowledge of SAP EWM preferred
- Experience with Salesforce or similar reporting platforms preferred
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred
- Familiarity with AIB standards and food-grade warehouse requirements a plus
- Experience managing or supervising warehouse employees
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment
- Strong communication and leadership skills
Work Environment
This position is primarily on the warehouse floor and requires the ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the facility for extended periods. Must be comfortable working in varying temperatures and around heavy machinery and equipment.
Compensation
