Job Summary
We are seeking a talented, passionate and experienced Sous Chef or Cook to help lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate is excited about food and learning new techniques. Must be teachable. Must possess strong leadership skills and a passion for food, ensuring that all dishes meet the highest standards of quality and presentation. Responsibilities
- Help lead and manage the kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
- Develop and design menus that reflect current culinary trends while considering dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Oversee food preparation processes to ensure consistency, quality, and adherence to safety standards.
- Manage inventory, and maintaining kitchen equipment to ensure smooth operations.
- Train and mentor kitchen staff in food service management practices, including food preparation techniques.
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the kitchen area in compliance with health regulations.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar leadership role within a fine dining establishment.
- Strong knowledge of menu planning, food service management, and dietary department operations.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
- Proficient in food preparation techniques with a creative flair for culinary innovation.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively under pressure.
- Exceptional communication skills for interacting with both kitchen staff and guests.
