- Anesthesia technicians provide ancillary support to the anesthesia service under the supervision of a licensed anesthesia provider by maintaining and assembling adequate anesthesia supplies and equipment. They prepare anesthesia equipment and supplies necessary for the administration of general; regional or moderate anesthesia care. Due to the broad range of medical conditions they encounter; they must be well-versed in a large variety of health conditions
