Join our dynamic automotive team as an Auto Body Worker specializing in chassis and assembly! Responsibilities
- Perform auto body repairs focusing on chassis alignment, structural repairs, and assembly tasks with precision and efficiency
- Utilize MIG welding, soldering, and automotive welding equipment to restore damaged vehicle frames and components
- Fabricate and repair sheet metal parts using fabrication repair techniques, hand tools, power tools, and sanding tools for seamless integration
- Conduct auto restoration projects by applying auto body repair skills, including auto glass replacement and detailing for a polished finish
- Assist in vehicle maintenance tasks such as auto painting using airless paint spraying systems and auto finishing techniques
- Use auto estimating tools to assess damage and determine repair procedures while maintaining high standards of quality control
- Support customer service efforts by providing clear communication about repair processes and timelines
Skills
- Proven dealership experience or extensive background as an automotive body technician
- Proficiency in MIG welding, welding repair, soldering, and automotive welding equipment operation
- Strong fabrication skills with knowledge of sheet metal work and fabrication repair techniques
- Mechanical knowledge related to vehicle maintenance, auto body repair, and automotive repair processes
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, sanding tools, and auto painting equipment for detailed work
- Experience working with auto glass installation and auto restoration projects
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during assembly or repair tasks
- Excellent customer service skills paired with auto estimating expertise for accurate assessments
- Familiarity with auto body detailing, auto painting (including airless paint spraying), and the use of automotive welding equipment
- Mechanic experience preferred to enhance understanding of vehicle systems and repairs
