Position Summary
We are seeking dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) Instructors to lead our Nurse Aide Training (NAT)classes for both day and evening sessions. The RN Instructor will be responsible for classroom teaching, skills lab instruction, and supervision of clinical training in accordance with 105 CMR 156.000 – The Training of Nurse Aides in Long-Term Care Facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging classroom and skills lab instruction aligned with the DPH-approved Nurse Aide Training curriculum.
- Supervise and evaluate students during clinical training at approved long-term care facilities.
- Maintain accurate student attendance, progress, and competency records.
- Ensure all instruction and training meet DPH and DOL standards.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to students, promoting professionalism and patient-centered care.
- Participate in program evaluations, audits, and updates as required by the Director of Education and DPH.
Qualifications
- Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) with a current Massachusetts license in good standing.
- Minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience, with at least one (1) year in a long-term care facility providing direct resident care.
- Previous teaching or supervisory experience in nursing or nurse aide training preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
