Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Service technician with a 3-5 years experience to join our team. Duties
- Service HVAC systems including air conditioning units, ventilation fans, boilers, and refrigeration equipment according to schematics and design specifications
- Conduct system inspections and troubleshoot issues using tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic equipment
- Perform routine maintenance on HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/Refrigeration) systems to ensure optimal operation
- Repair and replace mechanical components like motors, compressors, valves, and piping—often involving welding or plumbing skills
- Read and interpret technical schematics, blueprints, and HVAC design documents for accurate installation and servicing
- Diagnose complex issues related to ammonia refrigeration systems or property maintenance challenges
- Maintain detailed service reports, logs of repairs performed, and documentation of system configurations
- Operate a <PERSON> driver vehicle safely for field service visits across multiple locations
- Collaborate with property managers or clients to ensure HVAC systems meet safety standards and operational requirements
Skills
- Extensive construction experience with HVAC system installation and maintenance
- Proven service technician background with hands-on experience in appliance repair and equipment troubleshooting
- Strong understanding of schematics, HVAC design principles, and mechanical drawings
- Knowledge of plumbing, refrigeration systems—including ammonia refrigeration—and boiler operation
- Mechanical aptitude with proficiency in using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters for electrical troubleshooting
- Field service expertise with the ability to perform equipment repair in diverse environments
- Welding skills for custom fabrication or repair of HVAC components when necessary
- Familiarity with property maintenance procedures related to air conditioning units and ventilation systems
- Experience working with HVAC/R systems involving complex refrigerants like ammonia or other specialty gases
- Ability to operate heavy machinery safely as a <PERSON> driver during installation or service visits
- Mechanical knowledge encompassing appliance repair, boiler management, and general maintenance tasks
