Position Overview
The Customer Service & Accounting Support Specialist is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service while also supporting small‑scale accounting functions. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a mix of communication, problem‑solving, and administrative work.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Service — Serve as a primary contact for clients, vendors, and retailers; respond to inquiries, provide product information, and resolve issues.
- Order & Item Support — Assist with item setup, pricing updates, promotional forms, and PO communication.
- Light Accounting Duties — Perform basic accounting tasks including invoice review, data entry, check runs, deposits, and reconciliations.
- Documentation & Accuracy — Maintain accurate records across internal systems, spreadsheets, and customer portals.
- Cross‑Team Coordination — Work closely with sales, supply‑chain, and vendor relations teams to ensure timely and accurate information flow.
- Reporting — Generate basic reports related to orders, deductions, and customer activity.
Qualifications
- Experience in customerservice, administrative support, or food brokerage/CPG industry.
- Comfort with basic accounting tasks such as invoice verification and deduction tracking.
· High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong proficiency in Excel, data entry, and CRM/portal systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
