Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Day Porter to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order across various commercial and residential properties. Your proactive approach will ensure our clients’ environments are safe, spotless, and welcoming every day. Duties
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal to uphold high standards of cleanliness.
- Handle chemical agents safely during cleaning processes, adhering to all safety protocols and handling procedures.
- Conduct manual handling of cleaning equipment and supplies, ensuring safe lifting practices are followed at all times.
- Assist with industrial cleaning projects and custodial duties that require heavy lifting or specialized cleaning techniques.
- Support general facilities maintenance tasks such as light repairs, restocking supplies, and ensuring safety compliance throughout the premises.
- Maintain detailed records of cleaning activities and report any maintenance issues or safety concerns promptly.
- Maintain communication with Operations and Account managers
Requirements
- Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles with a strong understanding of commercial cleaning procedures.
- Experience handling chemical agents safely with knowledge of proper storage and disposal methods.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting while following safe lifting practices.
- Prior porter or facilities maintenance experience is highly desirable.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
- Must be willing to work out doors, in all weather conditions.
- Must have a valid drivers license and clean driving record
- Bi-lingual is preferred but not required.
Work vehicle will be provided during work shifts.
