Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Property Maintenance Technician / Inspector to ensure the safety, functionality, and aesthetic appeal of our residential Padsplit properties. In this dynamic role, you will perform routine inspections, troubleshoot maintenance issues, and oversee repairs to uphold high standards of property quality. Your expertise will help maintain a safe, efficient, and welcoming environment for residents, tenants, and staff alike. Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive inspections of properties to identify maintenance needs, safety hazards, and compliance issues.
- Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC units, and structural components using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Utilize schematics, technical manuals, and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software to track work orders and maintenance history.
- Execute residential painting projects and drywall.
- Use electrical testing tools such as ohmmeters to diagnose wiring issues and electrical faults accurately.
- Maintain detailed records of inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities for compliance and reporting purposes.
Requirements
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or residential property upkeep with a strong mechanical knowledge base.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and electrical diagrams with confidence.
- Skilled in electrical work, plumbing repairs, and general handyman tasks.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) used in building automation systems is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of CMMS software for work order management and documentation.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively in English across diverse audiences.
- Has a truck or a vehicle able to transport furniture.
