Here's the tightened version — same substance, half the fluff, sounds like a real company instead of a template:
Solar Site Surveyor — Oregon & Washington
Company truck. Gas card. Path to full-time with benefits. Real work in renewable energy.
Smart Solar Energy is a solar company owned and run by licensed electricians — we design, engineer, install, and service every system ourselves. We're hiring a Site Surveyor to be our eyes in the field: the person who climbs the ladder, reads the panel, and brings back the data that makes every install go smooth.
What you'll do
- Run detailed site surveys — roof assessments, attic checks, ground evaluations — to confirm each home is solar-ready
- Assess main panels and existing electrical (high and low voltage) per NEC / NFPA 70
- Read blueprints and schematics; troubleshoot and document electrical issues on-site
- Capture thorough photos, measurements, and reports that engineering and install crews build from
- Work directly with our electricians, installers, roofers, and project managers
- Use hand tools, power tools, and ladders safely; follow PPE and safety protocols in all weather
- Operate a forklift or similar equipment when site prep calls for it
What you bring
- Hands-on experience as a solar tech, electrician, or in electrical diagnostics (commercial electrical experience is a big plus)
- Solid grasp of PV installation, blueprint reading, and troubleshooting
- Comfort on roofs and ladders, in real weather, on real job sites
- Electrical safety certifications a plus; forklift experience a plus
- A problem-solver's head — you find the issue before it finds the install crew
What we provide
- Company vehicle for site travel
- Gas card — driving costs covered
- Path to full-time with health insurance and benefits
- Skills growth in one of the fastest-moving trades in the Northwest — learn directly from the electricians who own the company
Come do work that matters, with a crew that does it right the first time.
