Turquoise Wine Bar is seeking a dependable and motivated culinary team to support all aspects of kitchen operations while maintaining high standards for food quality, cleanliness, presentation, and guest satisfaction.
This position plays an important role in delivering the five-star experience our guests expect. Culinary Team Members are responsible for preparing and presenting menu items according to established recipes and standards, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, assisting with inventory, and working closely with the front-of-house team to provide an exceptional experience for every guest.
We are looking for someone who works well in a team environment, stays organized during busy shifts, takes pride in food presentation, and maintains a positive attitude.
Responsibilities & Expectations
The ideal candidate will:
- Prepare menu items consistently according to recipes, portion sizes, and presentation standards.
- Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized kitchen throughout each shift.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, temperature-control, and proper food-handling procedures.
- Communicate effectively with front-of-house employees and management.
- Work efficiently during busy periods while maintaining food quality and attention to detail.
- Assist with prep work, dishwashing, cleaning, stocking, and other kitchen responsibilities as needed.
- Properly rotate products using FIFO procedures and help minimize food waste.
- Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude while representing the Turquoise brand.
- Be dependable, punctual, and willing to assist other team members when needed.
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant or kitchen experience preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Attention to detail and commitment to food quality.
- Ability to follow recipes, procedures, and food safety standards.
- Must be dependable and able to work scheduled shifts, including evenings, weekends, and special events as needed.
- Food Handler Certification or ability to obtain certification as required by local regulations.
