Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a variety of heavy machinery to support construction projects, ensuring safety, efficiency, and precision on-site. Your expertise will help bring complex projects to life, from excavation to material transport, contributing directly to the successful completion of infrastructure and building developments. Duties
- Operate heavy equipment including bulldozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, skidsteers, mixers, graders and other equipment.
- Manage construction site tasks such as reading grades and plans, site grading, loading trucks, and more.
- Conduct routine inspections of machinery to ensure proper functioning and perform basic maintenance or report issues promptly
- Assist in setting up construction sites by preparing the ground and moving materials efficiently while adhering to safety standards
- Collaborate with team members to execute project plans accurately and meet deadlines
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures related to heavy equipment operation and construction site regulations
- Maintain detailed logs of equipment usage, inspections, and work performed for project documentation
Experience
- Proven construction site experience operating heavy machinery in diverse environments
- Strong mechanical knowledge of construction equipment including dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, mixers, and graders
- Valid commercial driver’s license is preferred but not required
- Familiarity with operating specialized equipment like bomag mixers and graders used in various construction applications
- Knowledge of safety standards related to heavy equipment operation and construction site protocols
- Hands-on experience working with GPS is highly desirable
- Ability to interpret technical manuals and perform routine maintenance checks confidently
