Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to established recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Execute food preparation tasks such as poaching, braising, grilling, and food handling with attention to detail and safety protocols.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work stations by following food safety sanitizing procedures throughout all shifts.
- Assist in menu planning and food production to support daily service demands, especially during high-volume periods.
- Support the culinary team in meal preparation for various service types, including catering events and special functions.
- Follow food safety management practices diligently, ensuring compliance with all health regulations and standards.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and timely delivery of orders.
Skills
- Proven experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide, demonstrating knowledge of specialized meal preparation.
- Strong background in food industry settings, including restaurant experience or fine dining environments.
- Skilled in various cooking techniques such as grilling, braising, poaching, and food production methods.
- Excellent knife skills combined with high-volume production experience for efficient meal assembly.
- Knowledge of food safety practices, sanitizing procedures, and proper food handling techniques.
- Ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail.
- Experience with menu planning, catering, serving, and general food service operations is highly desirable.
