We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Locksmith to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of lock mechanisms and security systems, demonstrating expertise in both traditional and modern locksmithing techniques. This role involves providing exceptional service to clients by ensuring their security needs are met efficiently and effectively.
Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain various types of locks, including deadbolts, padlocks, and electronic locking systems.
- Respond to emergency lockout situations promptly and professionally.
- Utilize tools such as an ohmmeter to diagnose issues with electronic locks and security systems.
- Provide clients with advice on security measures and recommend appropriate locking solutions.
- Create new keys using key cutting machines and duplicate existing keys accurately.
- Conduct regular maintenance checks on locks and security systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Maintain accurate records of services performed and inventory of locks and keys.
- Stay updated on the latest locksmithing techniques and technologies through ongoing training.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Locksmith or relevant position in the field of security services.
- Strong knowledge of lock mechanisms, key cutting, and installation techniques.
- Familiarity with electronic locking systems is preferred.
- Proficiency in using locksmithing tools, including an ohmmeter for troubleshooting electronic locks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients and provide excellent customer service.
- Valid driver's license may be required for travel to client locations.
