Pay Range: $68,000 - $85,000 depending on relevant experience and qualifications
MITER Brands™ is a residential window and door manufacturer that provides a leading portfolio of window and door brands for the new construction and replacement segments. MITER Brands, also known as Milgard, MI Windows & Doors and PGTI is one of the nation’s largest suppliers of vinyl windows and patio doors, with plants across the country.
This position is responsible for the day-to-day supervision of a fabrication team in a safe and efficient manner to achieve quality standards, productivity goals, and cost objectives, while limiting back-orders and shortages.
This position supervises the 1st shift with approximate work schedule Monday – Friday from 6:00am – 4:30pm. Flexibility is required as needed to meet the needs of the business and our customers.
Responsibilities

Manage staffing, orientation, training, and team member development.

Develop people, improving processes, reducing costs, quality monitoring and improvements, superior customer service, and on-time delivery.

Appropriate staffing and departmental scheduling personnel to meet manufacturing requirements while minimizing costs.

Plan departmental operations by establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing products.

Develop and/or revise standard operational & working practices, and observe workers to ensure compliance with standards.

Ensure plant staff (Leads) enforce company policies and procedures, plant-wide safety rules, and employee rules of conduct.

Interview, hire, train, terminate, discipline, and coach employees.

Motivate employees to achieve results.
Qualifications

College degree preferred.

Our ideal candidate will have three-plus years in a manufacturing leadership role with previous multi-line responsibility.

Proficient in the MS Office Suite.

Must be an effective communicator, capable of teaching and generating results while enhancing the MI work environment and supporting the company philosophy.

Prior experience in improving operations (UPEH, reduced costs, etc.).

To support MI’s Continuous Improvement culture, we are looking for a strong background in LEAN process improvement principles, and process management experience.
