HVAC Engineer
Renowned Midtown Events Facility seeking a full time Duty Engineer
Assist in maintenance and repair of HVAC mechanical equipment, air-conditioning/refrigeration, heating, ventilation including cooling tower, plumbing, water treatment and electrical systems.
Ability to work with others and communicate with coworkers, contractors and consultants in completing tasks.
Maintain standards for all areas, including legionnaire’s protocols and report deficiencies or propose upgrades to Operations Management.
Conduct regular walk-throughs to visually and physically assess the safe and efficient maintenance and operation of all mechanical, electrical, HVAC systems, and other related equipment.
Working knowledge of fire panels. Able to liaise with FDNY as necessary.
Hands-on ability to make general repairs and install component replacements.
Access and maintain all related information in a central computer data system for maintaining records and to generate ongoing reports.
Readiness to work overnight, holidays and weekends as needed.
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years in a similar role, with an emphasis on HVAC installations.
Education/Licenses:
- HS diploma
- Computer literate
- Certificate of Fitness for Citywide Standpipe Systems (S-13)
- Certificate of Fitness S-12 Citywide Sprinkler Systems
- P99 CoF ~ Low PSI Oil Burner - Preferred
- Q01 CoF ~ Refrigeration Engineer - Preferred
- S95 CoF
