Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately.
- Conduct repairs on various mechanical systems including engines, transmissions, suspensions, brakes, shocks & struts, and powertrain components.
- Repair and replace automotive parts such as air brakes, tires, wheel alignments, and auto body components to restore vehicle safety and performance.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical tools to execute repairs efficiently and safely.
- Execute routine vehicle maintenance tasks including oil changes, tire service, wheel alignments, and suspension system repairs to ensure optimal vehicle operation.
- Interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical problems effectively.
- Provide exceptional customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring vehicles are returned in excellent condition.
Experience
- Proven experience working in the automotive repair industry with a strong background in dealership or independent shop settings.
- Demonstrated proficiency in automotive diagnostics, mechanical systems repair, transmission repair, and diesel engine repair.
- Familiarity with ADAS (Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems), auto electrical systems, auto estimating software, and heavy equipment mechanics is highly desirable.
- Hands-on experience with GM vehicles or similar makes is a plus but not required.
- Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by the ability to work with schematics and vehicle maintenance procedures.
- Prior experience working with automotive suspension systems, brake repair, wheel alignment, shocks & struts, and auto body repair enhances your candidacy.
