Job Summary
Burton Family Dental Jerome is a new, modern practice located in the Jerome Village area of Plain City and we are seeking a dedicated Dental Practice Administrator to join our growing team. We are looking for team members who are passionate about patient care and who love the dental field.
The Practice Administrator will also be responsible for managing insurance verification, coding, and maintaining accurate dental records while adhering to HIPAA regulations. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, great attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of dental terminology and insurance coding systems. We are excited to find a motivated individual who can apply their experience to help shape and influence the day-to-day business operations.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients upon arrival and follow the established intake process for patient check-in
- Maintain accurate patient records while adhering to HIPAA regulations
- Assist patients in understanding their treatment options and financial responsibilities
- Manage phone inquiries providing information and addressing concerns
- Schedule and confirm appointments, ensuring efficient use of the office calendar
- Collaborate with clinical staff to coordinate treatment plans effectively
- Handle dental billing processes and insurance verification for patient accounts
- Posting of both patient and insurance payments
- Ensure the office environment is organized and welcoming for patients and staff alike
- Provide exceptional customer service throughout each patients visit and interaction
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience working in a similar dental practice role
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality at all times
- Thorough understanding of Open Dental or equivalent practice management system
- Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills are essential for this role
- Experience with dental billing procedures
- Proficiency in dental terminology and private practice scheduling
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while managing multiple tasks efficiently
- Experience using online-based patient record and scheduling tools
- Basic understanding of office computer software (Word, Excel, Google docs, etc.)
- High school diploma

Burton Family Dental Jerome is owned by Dr. Hannah Burton DDS, a seasoned dentist who has practiced in the area for over 13 years. Dr. Burton’s vision is to create a practice that revives the small town feel of building personal relations between the dentist and patient.
Instead of seeing a different dentist each time, patients and their families will be welcomed by Dr. Burton and her caring team of professionals. The services we provide are designed to meet the needs of each patient, children and adults alike.
This is a brand new and growing practice that has been furnished with high end amenities to create a comfortable environment for patients and staff alike. We use modern technologies to deliver high-quality results, no matter if it is a dental checkup and cleaning a patient needs, a customized dental crown, dental implants, orthodontics, or a new set of veneers.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $26.00 - $35.00 per hour
