Job Overview
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Wedding Planner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating unforgettable wedding experiences and possess strong organizational skills. As a Wedding Planner, you will work closely with couples to understand their vision, manage logistics, and coordinate all aspects of their special day. Your role will involve collaborating with various vendors, negotiating contracts, and ensuring that every detail is executed flawlessly. A hands-on training period will be provided by staff upon hire.
Duties
- Meet with clients to discuss their wedding vision, preferences, and budget.
- Develop comprehensive wedding plans that include timelines, budgets, and vendor recommendations.
- Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and venues to ensure all parties are aligned.
- Manage the logistics of the event including, but not limited to: venue selection, catering arrangements, and guest services.
- Negotiate contracts with vendors such as florists, photographers, and caterers to secure the best services at competitive prices.
- Coordinate on-site activities during the wedding day to ensure everything runs smoothly.
- Provide guidance on decor themes, seating arrangements, and other design elements.
- Upsell additional services or products that enhance the overall wedding experience.
- Handle any issues or emergencies that may arise during the planning process or on the wedding day.
Requirements
- Proven experience in events management or wedding planning is preferred.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate ideas clearly and effectively.
- Experience in negotiating contracts and managing vendor relationships.
- Knowledge of catering services and guest services best practices.
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Familiarity with hotel or restaurant operations is a plus.
- Creative mindset with an eye for aesthetics and design trends.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required by event schedules.
