We are hiring an Electronics Assembler for a specialty piezoelectric ceramics manufacturer in Bellefonte, PA. The company has been in business since 1979 and is the leading producer of specialty piezoelectric elements in North America. The parts you build go into defense systems, medical ultrasound equipment, precision actuators, and industrial sensors.
This is precision bench work at a clean, climate-controlled workstation, not a fast-paced production line. If you take pride in a clean solder joint, this is a long-term home.
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8 hour day shift with a flexible start time. No nights, no weekends, no rotating shifts.
What you will do
Lead attachment on piezoelectric ceramic components, your main day to day work
Solder wires, leads, and terminations to small ceramic parts and assemblies
Potting operations using molds and fixtures
Assemble small components requiring high manual dexterity
Follow written work instructions and drawings
Inspect your own work and flag anything out of spec
Record production data and complete basic documentation
Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow all safety requirements
What you need
Hands on soldering experience, or assembly experience with small precision components
Strong manual dexterity and steady hands, comfortable working with very small parts
Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions
Attention to detail and a quality first mindset
Reliable attendance and the ability to work independently after training
Nice to have, not required, we will train the right person
Soldering experience in electronics, medical device, or defense manufacturing
Familiarity with IPC-A-610 or J-STD-001 soldering standards
Experience with potting, epoxy, or encapsulation processes
Prior work in an ISO 9001 certified facility
Experience with ceramics, sensors, transducers, or other small electronic components
