About This Role
Crievewood United Methodist Child Care is currently seeking a dedicated early childhood educator to join our team, responsible for providing nurturing and guided learning experiences for young children, particularly those with preschool age expertise.
This position offers approximately 25 hours per week, with opportunities for increased hours during school breaks and summer.
Hours of operation are typically Monday through Friday from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with a one-hour break from 12:30 to 1:30 PM.
What You'll Do
Navigate and implement daily learning activities tailored to each child's developmental needs and interests.
Support the lead teacher in maintaining daily routines and ensuring a smooth-running learning environment.
Adhere to regulations and guidelines outlined by the Tennessee Department of Human Resources.
Establish and maintain effective communication with parents and guardians at pick-up times.
Requirements
Minimum age requirement is 18 years.
Applicants must be able to obtain Infant/Child CPR and First Aid certification and pass a fingerprint background check.
A team-oriented individual with strong interpersonal skills is highly desired.
Applicants should be able to perform tasks requiring flexibility, such as kneeling, stooping, and standing for extended periods, to engage with children in activities.
Nice To Haves
Possession of a degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is a valuable asset.
Experience working with preschool-age children can be a significant advantage in this role.
