Job Summary
We’re looking for dependable, compassionate animal lovers to join our team as Part-Time Pet Assistants. This position is perfect for someone looking for after-school or evening hours who enjoys staying active and providing exceptional care to dogs.
At The Emerald Paw, we believe every pet deserves a personalized experience. We use Fear Free principles, carefully monitor canine body language, and focus on creating a safe, positive environment for every guest.
Schedule
- Part-time
- Primarily afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ideal for high school seniors, college students, or anyone looking for after-school hours
Responsibilities
- Supervise and engage with dogs during playtime
- Monitor canine body language and ensure safe group interactions
- Clean and sanitize play areas, suites, and common spaces
- Feed meals and provide fresh water
- Assist with check-in and check-out procedures
- Follow individualized care plans for each pet
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming resort environment
- Work closely with the team to provide exceptional care every day
Qualifications
- Animal care experience preferred (boarding, daycare, veterinary, grooming, shelter, kennel, or similar)
- Comfortable working with dogs of all breeds, sizes, and personalities
- Dependable, hardworking, and eager to learn
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Able to lift 50 pounds and remain active throughout your shift
- Comfortable working weekends and holidays
