Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup
- Take dental radiographs (X-rays)
- Assess patients’ oral health status through detailed patient evaluations and medical history reviews
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment options
- Assist with chairside procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to ensure efficiency and comfort
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records
- Follow infection prevention management protocols to ensure patient safety and compliance with HIPAA regulations
Requirements
- Valid license as a Registered Dental Hygienist in accordance with NY state regulations
- Proven experience working in general dentistry or pediatric dentistry environments
- Proficiency with Eaglesoft
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy and dental equipment operation
- Familiarity with healthcare infection prevention and control standards, including HIPAA compliance management
- Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy
Pay: $38.00 - $40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 33.0 – 36.0 per week
