Job Description:
As the Project Manager/Estimator, you will be responsible for overseeing plumbing projects from inception to completion, including estimating project costs, managing timelines, and ensuring high-quality workmanship. Your ability to communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and team members will be essential in delivering projects on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate estimates for plumbing projects based on plans and specifications.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and project requirements.
- Develop project schedules and manage resources to ensure timely completion.
- Oversee daily operations on job sites, ensuring adherence to safety regulations and quality standards.
- Communicate with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to facilitate project execution.
- Monitor project budgets, track expenses, and provide regular updates to management.
- Conduct site visits to assess progress, resolve issues, and ensure compliance with project specifications.
- Prepare and present project proposals and reports to clients and management.
- Mentor and support junior staff and subcontractors as needed.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Project Manager and/or Estimator in the plumbing industry or related field.
- Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, codes, and regulations.
- Excellent estimating skills and experience with relevant software.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Project Management Professional) are a plus.
