Responsibilities
- Assist in supervising daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and inventory control
- Lead, motivate, and develop a retail sales team through effective training, coaching, and performance management
- Oversee merchandising efforts to ensure attractive product displays and proper stock levels aligned with company standards
- Manage inventory management tasks such as stock replenishment, ordering, purchasing, and conducting regular stock audits
- Support recruiting efforts by participating in interviewing candidates and onboarding new employees
- Handle customer inquiries with professionalism using excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
- Ensure compliance with store policies, safety protocols, and operational procedures to maintain a secure shopping environment
Qualifications
- Proven experience in retail management or assistant manager roles within the retail industry with supervising responsibilities
- Strong knowledge of retail math, POS systems, cash handling, and bookkeeping practices
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively and foster a positive work environment
- Proficiency in inventory management, merchandising, pricing strategies, and sales management techniques
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse customer bases effectively
- Demonstrated skills in negotiation, employee orientation, interviewing, training & development, budgeting, and operational management
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Previous experience in grocery stores or wireless sales is advantageous but not required
