What You'll Do
As a Laser Operator, you'll set up and run our laser cutting machines to cut parts that meet customer specs. You'll read job travelers and blueprints, keep an eye on machine performance, and flag any quality issues.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Set up machines: load programs, change gas bottles, nozzles and material.
- Start-up and shut-down for laser machines.
- Spot and fix common cutting problems as they come up.
- Use a tape measure, calipers, hand tools and forklift.
- Ensure Laser cuts parts accurately and to spec.
- Check part quality and let supervisor know if something's off.
- Follow all safety rules and procedures.
- Keep your area clean and do routine operator maintenance.
- Pitch in with other tasks as needed.
EQUIPMENT You'll Use
Laser machines, calipers, bore/ID gauges, height gauges, forklift, and basic hand tools (hammers, screwdrivers, wrenches, etc.)
What We're Looking For
- Laser Machine Experience is required, specifically Amada Laser Machine is preferred.
- 1-3 years experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- Good attendance - ability to have a flexible schedule.
- Comfortable with basic math and measuring tools
- Basic computer skills.
- Someone who works safely and keeps a good pace
- Experience with Amada laser machines a bonus
- Works well with others and on your own.
- Detail-oriented and good at following written steps.
SCHEDULE
Swing shift; possibly 2 pm - 10:30 pm, Monday - Friday, exact schedule can be worked out.
Pay will be based on experience.
Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
