Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Specialist to join our fast-paced warehouse team. In this vital role, you will oversee the accurate and efficient handling of inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring that all products are received, stored, and dispatched in compliance with company standards and trade regulations. Responsibilities
- Manage the receipt, inspection, and documentation of incoming shipments using RF scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS) to ensure accuracy and traceability.
- Prepare outgoing shipments by selecting, packing, labeling, and staging products according to order specifications, utilizing packaging materials and pallet jacks for safe handling.
- Operate forklifts, reach trucks, and pallet jacks to load and unload trucks efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.
- Utilize ERP systems such as AS400 or similar platforms for inventory management, stock replenishment, and order processing.
- Conduct regular inventory counts, stock replenishment, and cycle counts to maintain precise warehouse stock levels.
- Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and trade compliance standards during cross-border shipments.
- Assist with order picking & packing processes using RF scanners and order pickers to fulfill e-commerce orders accurately and promptly.
- Maintain a clean, organized warehouse environment by stocking shelves properly and managing packaging materials efficiently.
- Support warehouse distribution activities by coordinating with logistics providers for timely shipment scheduling.
- Follow safety procedures during load & unload operations to prevent accidents or damage; report any safety concerns immediately.
Experience
- Proven warehouse experience with a strong understanding of shipping logistics, order fulfillment, and inventory management.
- Demonstrated ability to operate forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely; forklift certification is preferred.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP platforms like AS400 or similar systems for inventory control.
- Knowledge of international trade regulations, trade compliance standards, and shipping documentation requirements.
- Experience in e-commerce fulfillment processes including picking & packing using RF scanners or order pickers.
- Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and calculating weights or dimensions accurately.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Work schedule is Mon-Fri 6am-3pm and some OT is required.
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
