As a Liquor Clerk, you’ll help customers find the right products, maintain organized and fully stocked displays, and support daily liquor department operations in a fast-paced grocery store environment.

What You’ll Do
-
Provide excellent customer service in the liquor department
-
Assist customers with product selection and recommendations
-
Answer questions about alcoholic beverages and product availability
-
Stock, rotate, and organize liquor shelves and displays
-
Maintain attractive merchandising and promotional displays
-
Verify customer age and identification for alcohol purchases
-
Follow state and local alcohol sales laws and store policies
-
Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems and process transactions accurately

Receive, inspect, and stock liquor shipments and inventory
-
Maintain cleanliness and safety throughout the liquor department
-
Handle spills, damaged products, and safety concerns appropriately

Support department promotions, seasonal displays, and store operations
What We’re Looking For

Must be at least 18 years old to sell alcohol according to state and local laws
-
Previous retail, customer service, grocery, or liquor sales experience preferred
-
Strong communication and customer service skills

Basic math and cash-handling abilities

Ability to operate POS systems efficiently

Attention to detail with inventory, compliance, and merchandising tasks

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced environment

Flexible availability (days, evenings, weekends, holidays)
Work Environment

Fast-paced grocery store liquor department
-
Exposure to coolers, stockrooms, cleaning supplies, and occasional broken glass/spills

Standing for extended periods; lifting up to 40 lbs
