Position Summary
We are looking for a motivated Machinist 1/2 to join our team. This position is ideal for someone with some machining experience, and eager to learn and develop new skills.

Job Summary:
The Machinist I/II is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining manual and CNC machine tools to manufacture precision parts and components according to engineering drawings and specifications. The level (I or II) is determined by the employee's experience, technical skills, and ability to perform work independently.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Set up and operate manual and CNC lathes, mills, grinders, and other machine tools.
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders.
- Measure and inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and indicators.
- Perform routine machine maintenance and keep equipment in good working condition.
- Select appropriate tooling, fixtures, and cutting parameters for machining operations.
- Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to maintain quality and production standards.
- Deburr, clean, and finish machined parts as required.
- Maintain accurate production and inspection records.
- Follow all safety procedures, quality standards, and company policies.
- Keep work areas clean and organized.
- Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and quality personnel to resolve production issues.
Machinist I Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Technical or vocational machining training preferred.
- 0–2 years of machining experience.
- Basic knowledge of machining principles and shop mathematics.
- Ability to read basic blueprints and use precision measuring tools.
- Willingness to learn and work under supervision.
Machinist II Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; technical training preferred.
- 2–5 years of machining experience.
- Proficient in setting up and operating manual and CNC equipment with minimal supervision.
- Strong blueprint reading and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing interpretation skills.
- Experience troubleshooting machining problems and optimizing processes.
- Ability to inspect parts to tight tolerances and maintain high-quality standards.
- May assist in training entry-level machinists.
Required Skills
- Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Knowledge of machining practices, tooling, and materials.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Basic computer skills for production reporting and documentation (ideally JobBoss, and Microsoft Office).
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
- Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to bend, reach, stoop, and work around moving machinery.
- Must wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Preferred Qualifications
- CNC programming experience.
- Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing and ISO quality standards.
- Forklift or overhead crane certification. (Willingness to train)
- Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience.

Schedule Full-time position (hours may vary based on workload) M-Th 6:30 AM-3:30 PM, Fr 6:30 AM-2:30 PM
Pay: $20-$27 depending on experience
