Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities or other special needs
- Assist with daily living activities, including meal preparation, personal hygiene, and medication administration
- Implement individualized care plans and follow all applicable regulations and guidelines
- Foster a safe and supportive environment for individuals under your care
- Assist with transportation to appointments, activities, and community outings
- Maintain accurate documentation of services provided and any significant observations or incidents
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certification in nursing, social work, or a related field is a plus
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for transporting individuals
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
- First aid and CPR certification preferred
- Experience in childcare or working with individuals with special needs is highly desirable
- Ability to lift and assist with the transfer of individuals as needed
