Location: Port Charlotte, Florida
Schedule: Full-Time
Salary: $120,000 – $140,000 annually (based on experience)

We are seeking an experienced and driven Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our clinical team, ensure regulatory excellence, and promote the highest standards of resident-centered care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and oversight of daily Nursing Department operations.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and facility regulations.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate nursing policies, procedures, and clinical best practices.
- Lead Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives.
- Prepare for and participate in state surveys and regulatory inspections.
- Conduct regular clinical rounds to monitor resident care, staff performance, and compliance.
- Mentor, coach, and support nursing staff to foster professional growth and team success.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary departments to maintain exceptional standards of care.
- Promote a positive, accountable, and team-oriented workplace culture.
Qualifications
- Active Florida RN license required.
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive nursing leadership experience in Long-Term Care or Skilled Nursing.
- Prior experience as a Director of Nursing or Assistant Director of Nursing preferred.
- Strong knowledge of state and federal long-term care regulations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
