Position Summary:
Primus Pipe & Tube is seeking an experienced and results-driven Production Supervisor to lead and support our off-shift operations (2nd and 3rd shifts) at our Wildwood, FL manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for supervising personnel, ensuring consistent production output, and upholding strict safety, quality, and operational standards. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic manufacturing environment and demonstrate strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervision & Operations
- Oversee production activities on first, second or third shifts to ensure efficient and safe manufacturing operations.
- Assign and manage staffing levels for off-shift operations.
- Troubleshoot operational or equipment issues to minimize downtime and ensure smooth transitions across shifts.
- Communicate shift performance, issues, and updates with other supervisors and leadership.
- Safety & Compliance
- Lead daily safety meetings (Safe Start) and promote a strong culture of safety.
- Enforce compliance with all safety policies, PPE use, and OSHA standards.
- Conduct bi-weekly safety inspections and participate in job safety analyses.
- Assist with accident investigations and workplace hazard corrections in collaboration with the Health & Safety Coordinator.
- Leadership & Development
- Train, coach, and mentor off-shift employees on proper procedures and workplace expectations.
- Provide on-the-job training (OJT) and guidance to drive performance, morale, and accountability.
- Administer performance management, corrective actions, and recognition programs as appropriate.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Education:
- College education on related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and relevant experience considered.
- Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing, steel, or heavy industrial environment.
- Skills & Competencies:
- Strong understanding of manufacturing workflows, production metrics, and equipment troubleshooting.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
- High attention to detail, planning, and organizational abilities.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams.
- Comfortable using production systems, email, and computer-based reporting tools.
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:
- Exposure to industrial manufacturing conditions including noise, heat, cold, fumes, and chemicals.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 40 lbs for up to 50% of work time.
- Must be able to work weekends as needed based on shift assignments.

Schedule:
- 2nd Shift: 1:30pm - 10:30pm
- 3rd Shift: 9:30pm - 6:30am
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
Supplemental Pay:
Bonus opportunities
Pay: From $60,000.00 per year
