We are looking for dependable, General Cleaners in the Lakeland, FL area for a temporary project that could last 4 to 6 weeks or longer.
Job Purpose
The Temporary General Cleanrer/ Wharehouse Porter will support the client's temporary cleaning project by assisting with mezzanine clean-up activities, disposing of damaged materials and debris, organizing maintenance parts, and performing general housekeeping and project support tasks. The employee will work closely with SJI management and customer representatives to ensure project objectives are achieved safely, efficiently, and in accordance with customer expectations. Responsibilities include maintaining a safe work environment, following all customer and company safety requirements, and ensuring timely completion of all assigned tasks.
Requirement
Must be 18 years of age or older. Must work independently with minimal supervision and have strong attention to details. Must be able to pass background check. Must have reliable transportation. Must have legal documents to work in the United States of America.
Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to any duty as assigned)
- Pick up and transport trash & waste to proper disposal areas.
- Straighten areas, such as warehouse aisles
- Sweep, mop and dry warehouse floors
- Disinfecting/Sanitizing Surfaces
- Window cleaning
- Maintain a safe work environment for employees and customers while performing required duties
- Observation of all OSHA rules and regulations
- Manage all duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Must be able to walk, stand, climb, kneel, reach, crawl, push, pull and twist the majority of the day
Must display very good organization and time management skills
Responsiveness – Responding positively to requests in a timely manner
Ability to change tasks or assignments outside normal duties
Work in a team environment
Bi-Lingual in Spanish a plus but not required
Must be dependable with excellent attendance
Working Conditions
This position works in a busy warehouse environment.
Pay: $16.00 per hour
