We are currently seeking a detail-oriented Junior Property Accountability Specialist to support our expanding efforts in Naval Special Warfare (NSW) and Navy Expeditionary Combat Command (NECC) logistics programs.
Role Summary
The Junior Property Accountability Specialist will be responsible for providing comprehensive logistics and property accountability support. You will play a key role in the management of all classes of supply, ensuring strict compliance with Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR) standards. You will utilize the Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS) to manage assets, conduct physical inventories, and maintain 100% accountability of mission-critical equipment.
Key Responsibilities
Property Accountability & Inventory Management:
- Perform daily receipt, verification, and inspection of materiel, ensuring all assets match supporting documentation.
- Conduct scheduled and unscheduled physical inventories, location surveys, and causative research for inventory discrepancies.
- Maintain 100% accountability of assets within the Accountable Property System of Record (APSR).
- Manage warehouse operations including storage configuration, Cold Storage/COSIS, and issuing of material based on priority.
- Support the annual phased equipment replacement programs and maintain audit-ready property data.
Systems & Data Management:
- Utilize DPAS modules (Property Accountability, Warehouse Management, Material Management, and Maintenance & Utilization) for real-time data entry and reporting.
- Manage and create Key Supporting Documentation (KSD) to ensure compliance with FIAR/FISCAM requirements.
- Apply tracking identifiers (pRFID tags, IUID labels, and markings) and update the IUID registry accordingly.
- Support data entry in various supply systems, including RSupply, FASTData, and MILSTRIP/DLMS, ensuring accuracy for funds expenditure tracking.
- Quality Assurance & Compliance:
- Identify and report materiel discrepancies by preparing Quality Deficiency Reports (QDRs) and other necessary documentation.
- Collaborate with Supply Departments to update and manage Tables of Allowance (TOAs) and Allowance Change Requests (ACRs).
- Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and policy updates to maintain audit readiness.
- Use handheld terminals, barcode scanners, and label printers to conduct inspections and audits across assigned echelons.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in property accountability, supply chain management, or logistics within a government or military environment.
- Demonstrated proficiency with the Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS) modules (Warehouse, Property Accountability, etc.).
- Strong understanding of DoD supply/logistics policies and Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR) compliance standards.
- Proven ability to perform causative research, data reconciliation, and inventory discrepancy analysis.
- High level of attention to detail for maintaining Key Supporting Documentation (KSD) and ensuring strict asset traceability.
- Proficiency with logistics hardware, including barcode scanners, RFID readers, and mobile data terminals.
- Ability to work effectively in a warehouse and office environment, supporting multiple commodity types (e.g., weapons, medical, IT equipment).

Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
