Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish
- Assist in menu planning by suggesting new ideas and seasonal specials that excite our guests
- Handle food with care, following proper food safety and hygiene protocols to maintain cleanliness and prevent contamination
- Manage food preparation tasks efficiently to meet service times during busy hours
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively, including knives, stoves, ovens, and other culinary tools
- Support catering events by preparing large quantities of food while maintaining presentation standards
- Serve dishes promptly to ensure guest satisfaction and uphold excellent food service standards
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food industry setting is highly preferred, especially in a culinary or kitchen role
- Familiarity with dietary department procedures or dietary aide experience is a plus, demonstrating knowledge of special dietary needs and meal accommodations
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation are essential for success in this role
