Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Position Type: Part-Time
Compensation: $18 – $22 per hour
Schedule: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday); Thursday reserved for Acute Visits
Work Setting: Outpatient, Direct Primary Care, Osteopathic Medicine
Position Summary:
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will provide both administrative and clinical support to ensure optimal patient care and practice efficiency within a direct primary care and osteopathic setting. The ideal candidate demonstrates critical thinking, adaptability approach while maintaining the highest standards of clinical quality and patient confidentiality.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Front Office Responsibilities:
- Perform patient registration, intake coordination, and electronic health record (EHR) documentation with accuracy and discretion.
- Manage appointment scheduling, confirmations, and coordination of acute and routine visits.
- Handle all correspondence including faxing, scanning, filing, and secure record transfers in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Verify and maintain patient charts, and ensure proper documentation of demographic and clinical information.
- Communicate professionally with patients, caregivers, and external providers via phone, email, and in-person interactions.
- Maintain front office organization, supply inventory, and compliance with administrative protocols.
- Represent the organization professionally during business meetings, outreach events, or partnership discussions as assigned.
Back Office (Clinical) Responsibilities:
- Perform patient triage including obtaining and documenting vital signs, medical histories, and presenting complaints.
- Assist the provider in osteopathic manipulative treatments, minor procedures, and diagnostic testing.
- Administer medications, injections, and immunizations per physician order and within scope of practice.
- Conduct laboratory testing, and result documentation.
- Maintain exam rooms and clinical areas in a clean, organized, and sterile condition.
- Ensure compliance with infection control and OSHA standards.
- Monitor and restock medical supplies, maintaining accurate inventory records.
Qualifications:
- Current, unrestricted LPN license in the State of WV.
- CPR and First Aid certification (required or willingness to renew prior to start date).
- Minimum of 1 year of outpatient or clinical experience preferred.
- Proficient in use of Electronic Health Records systems.
- Comprehensive understanding of medical terminology, documentation standards, and confidentiality practices.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with demonstrated professionalism.
- Proven ability to multitask, prioritize, and work independently in a dynamic clinical environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to patient-centered care and collaborative teamwork.
- Proven clinical experience is a must.
- Must have a valid Driver's License and be able to pass pre-employment screenings.
