Counter Sales Representative / Stock Assistant
Irrigation, Electric Motor & Water Pump Supplies
One of the area’s largest distributors of pump, electric motor, irrigation, and HVAC-related equipment is seeking a motivated Counter Sales Representative to join our team.
Position Summary
This role is responsible for assisting customers at the counter and over the phone, processing sales and quotes, work orders, supporting inventory control, and maintaining a professional storefront environment. Providing excellent customer service is the top priority.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist customers in a courteous, professional, and timely manner
- Operate Point of Sale (POS) system
- Field incoming sales calls and assist with equipment-related questions
- Process customer orders, quotes and sales.
- Product application guidance
- Requires part identification and application knowledge.
- Process customer work orders, and assist follow up as needed
- Follow inventory control procedures
- Keep the store front clean, organized, and properly stocked
- Stock store shelves and bins.
- Assist with stocking warehouse and support receiving personnel
- Restock pvc pipe and wire.
- Promote a professional company image through excellent customer service
- Occasional Deliveries
Qualifications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience in sales, customer service, and/or purchasing preferred
- Basic knowledge of electric motors, irrigation, water pumps, and/or pool supplies is a plus
- Friendly and professional telephone manner
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced counter environment
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift 50+ pounds
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
