DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS OF WORK
Under the direction of the education coordinator I/II, the part-time site program lead works with the lead site manager, teacher, counselor, tutor, program, leader, and the city of highly partners to ensure that all program activities are completed correctly and on a timely basis. The part-time site program lead is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of all camp activities. this position may also be utilized to assist in supervising multi-site program if it allows.
- Upload all city of Hialeah policies and procedures, including those related to safety and risk management.
- May assist supervising multi-site programs; performs site visits, rotating throughout the week.
- Collect monthly attendance, sign in and out sheets and create a duplicate set for the administration. Responsible for collecting and completing data entry on attendance and assessment data, report cards, state assessment test and utilization reports as needed, depending on assigned grant.
- Ensure testing for all required program components is completed on schedule. Collect, review, and copy all component test, ensuring all tests are completed correctly and thoroughly before submitting copies to the administration.
- Maintain individual files for each child with all documents as required by the administration.
- Review weekly schedule and verify that it reflects all required components of the administration. Monitors appropriate delivery of services.
- Maintain constant communication with staff and administration Coordinate staff development and training.
- Plans and prepares a creative learning environment. Maintains and cleans program areas.
- Establish and maintain good relationship with parents.
- Conduct parent orientations and coordinates recruitment in schools. And family services to active program parents, Partners, And stakeholders.
- Supervise staff by assessing their performance, providing feedback and training to site staff.
- Plans and schedules activities and compliance with budget and grant guidelines. Plans for special events and activities.
- Performs any other tasks assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Must possess good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to implement curriculums and provide instruction to participants
- Ability to work with participants, including children and/or persons with disabilities, in an active environment.
- Ability to work with children in an active environment.
- Attend required training sessions to implement program components.
- Must have ability to effectively communicate and interact with other employees and the public through the use of telephone and personal contact as normally defined by the ability to see, read, talk, stand, hear, hands to finger dexterity, handle, feel or operate objects, read and write English.
- Physical capability to effectively use and operate various items of office equipment; such as but not limited to a personal computer, calculator, copier and fax machines.
- Work is performed indoors within a quiet to moderately noisy environment.
- Must be able to lift, carry and or push articles weighing up to 20 lbs.
MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
- Must have high school diploma or general education degree.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is required.
- Attend required training sessions to implement program components.
- Preferred state of Florida Director credential.
- Any combination of education and experience may be considered.
